Nevada Bank & Trust was created as a result of the efforts of a group of Caliente ,
Nevada businessmen led by Wes Holt. Caliente had never enjoyed the benefit of a
local commercial bank. Wes contacted Clair and Frank Chadwick, acquaintances
he had made through his mercantile affiliations. The Chadwick's had previous
experience in opening and operating small community banks in eastern Idaho . With
this group in place, they obtained a bank charter and opened the first office in
Caliente on June 21, 1978 . Since that time, additional offices have been opened in
seven other small towns in eastern Nevada . The bank continues to be as
progressive as possible with the most recent technological advances such as this
